If you want to be happy

"If you want to be happy desire what you have and not what you don't have"

This means that you have to train yourself to be satisfied with the situation you are now. Love the job you have now, love the boyfriend or girlfriend you have now, love the parents you have and don't desire what you miss. We humsns have a natural habit to desire what we can't have and when we have it we are not happy even then. We feel intrigued by the impossible, by the life of someone else but not by our own circumstances. We live in a cloud thinking about what we don't have. "What if I had this job, what if I had been married, what if I haven't been married.....etc" Who trained us like that? Who is responsible for this "never satisfied" personality. When we are sick we say, all I want to be healty. When we are healthy, we say why don't I have this car, or this job, or this friend?

Don't wait to lose something to know what is worth. Think about it earlier and appreciate this very situation you are in. This doesn't mean that you should stop fighting for a better future. Appreciation is not opposite of dreams. It is the first step to a better life.

Take a few moments at the end of the day to ask yourself this simple question: "What can I rightly feel proud of today?" If you are committed to constant self-improvement, you can also ask yourself, "What could I do better tomorrow?" Both questions hold your value.
